Took James to Krispy Kream this morning, the one with the old-style assembly-line donut machine. Friedel, Thusnelda, and Feathers were with us. I explained the workings of the machine to Jamie, then we bought our donuts and sat down. After he finished eating, Jamie got up and told Friedel he was going to call him over to the donut machine and explain to him how it worked. “Aber warte, Friedel, bis ich dich rufe.” Then he ran over to the start of the machine, called Friedel over, and proceeded to explain to him each step in the donut-making process. This he did again with Thusnelda and Feathers, each individually.
