Writing letters 1

Last weekend we received a visit from my friend Peter and my godson, Gabriel, with whom J hit it off very well, even though G is four years older. G is very interested in learning German, so J and I decided that we're going to start writing him letters in German. We're going to translate everything at first, then perhaps gradually phase out the translations as G learns. 

G's father speaks German fluently, so he will get all kinds of help with pronunciation and explanations, etc.
