Sunday school 19: Jacob

Continuing the ancient marriage customs theme from last time, I explained to J how, like with Jacob, Leah and Rachel, it was common for men to marry more than one woman in ancient days, and in some religions and parts of the world today (for example in Islam). 

Jacob's is a complex story and I'm not sure how much J was really paying attention. When we got home, we looked at images of Jacob's ladder and the struggle with the angel.
